Beliefs and personalities didn’t matter to Nancy. Taking care of me mattered to her.

Everything else about them was different – except that they spent most evenings away from their homes.

I was headed to Rutgers and beyond with a firm foundation built of core communication skills that would drive my career far along, in different directions, and through many job and career changes – but always with communication at its core.

Those tools and the life lessons I gained from Buddy Weil and Jim Brown serve me well to this day.

My father was the most difficult person who was ever in my life but today I see him as my most important mentor.
